EcOArt Residency is a creative studio retreat where artists, photographers, musicians, writers and other creatives can connect into nature's ecology of place to find inspiration and individual expression.
Located in the quiet coastal village of Venus Bay, in BoonWurrung Country, Victoria, Australia, on the shoreline of the wild waters of the Tayaritja [Bass Strait], EcOArt is a self-directed residency offering Creatives a place and space to work undisturbed and at their own pace.
The living space is a mid-century modern coastal beach house that provides the simple comforts of living in a beautiful, calming natural environment that touches the sea and stretches along an uninterrupted shoreline from the river inlet of the Tarwin, to the majestic Yiruk/Wamoon [Wilson's Promontory] whose rugged ancient coastline once connected mainland Australia with the Island of Lutruwita [Tasmania].
The EcOArt Residency beach house is fully furnished and self-contained accommodating two visiting Creatives at any one time, each with their own private bedroom (Queen bed and Double bed), and shared bathroom.
The large 6m x 6m studio is a shared creative space that looks out across the majestic primary dune system of Southern Australia's Bass Coast and the expansive tidal wetlands of Anderson Inlet.
The home and studio are owned and operated by visual artist and educator, Donna Wright, who offers her space to other like-minded Creatives when she is traveling and working in other locations in Australia and overseas. To view her work and to gain an understanding of her philosophy and research focus, please visit her website at donnawright.net
Residencies are offered in 1 month blocks and places are limited by availability.
All-inclusive residency fee is $1600AUD per 4 week period.
